Lindsay arrested again - facing jail time

Lindsay Lohan has been arrested and charged with third-degree assault in New York after an alleged altercation with a woman in a nightclub.

NYPD Detective Mark Nell told People magazine: "This morning at 4 a dispute broke out at Avenue located at 116 10th Avenue. A female 26-year-old assaulted a female 28-year old. Lindsay Lohan was arrested and charged with assault."

Asked what happened, he said, "She punched her in the face."

New York's Daily News names the other woman as Tiffany Eve Mitchell and says she and Lindsay were sitting in separate VIP sections when a scuffle erupted elsewhere in the club. Tiffany possibly bumped into Lindsay while avoiding the incident.

But TMZ reckons Lindsay got cross because a guy she was hitting on, Max George from a band called The Wanted, preferred the other woman. "As the evening wore on, we're told Lindsay got drunker and drunker ... and it turned Max off. He then started talking to another woman, which enraged Lindsay. That woman is the one Lindsay is accused of battering."

Whatever ... Lindsay currently is on probation for removing a necklace from a California jewelry store last year, and could face potential jail time for being re-arrested.

But that's not all folks! Nearly six months after she crashed her Porsche into the back of a dump truck in Santa Monica on the way to the set of the Elizabeth Taylor biopic Liz & Dick, she'll be charged with lying to police about who was driving the car.

"She is being charged," Santa Monica Police Sgt. Richard Lewis confirmed.

Jada Pinkett Smith talks girl power

Jada Pinkett Smith has taken to her Facebook page to address critics of her parenting style, particularly those who questioned why she “let” her 12-year-old chop off her locks and sport a super-short style a few months ago.
"The question why I would LET Willow cut her hair. First the LET must be challenged. This is a world where women, girls are constantly reminded that they don't belong to themselves; that their bodies are not their own, nor their power or self determination. I made a promise to endow my little girl with the power to always know that her body, spirit and her mind are HER domain. Willow cut her hair because her beauty, her value, her worth is not measured by the length of her hair. It's also a statement that claims that even little girls have the RIGHT to own themselves and should not be a slave to even their mother's deepest insecurities, hopes and desires. Even little girls should not be a slave to the preconceived ideas of what a culture believes a little girl should be. More to come. Another day."

Kelsey's bub did have a car seat ... apparently ...
Kelsey Grammer's rep, Stan Rosenfield has come out in defence of his client, following claims he drove his baby around without a car seat: "I am not an attorney, so I cannot [comment] on any legal aspect. I just know that the original footage that aired strongly implied that they left the airport without a car seat, which was not the case. In an attempt to avoid the paparazzi, they exited through the upper level," he explained. "Kelsey went back in and got the car seat and met them at the car. Did the car drive a few yards without the car seat? Yes. At no time does the video show them leaving the airport with the baby not in the car seat."

And reps never tell porkies about their clients, do they?
