Kirstie Alley's secret love affair with Patrick Swayze

Wow, Kirstie Alley is on quite the confessional roll. First she told Barbara Walters that John Travolta was the "greatest love of my life", now she's revealed she had an affair - of sorts - with Patrick Swayze.

During Entertainment Tonight's Monday night episode, Kirstie dropped the bombshell that she and Patrick Swayze had an intense emotional relationship while filming the 1985 mini-series North and South

(Kirstie was still with her second husband, Parker Stevenson, at the time, they divorced in 1997; Patrick was married to Lisa Niemi.).

Kirstie said sparks flew between her and Patrick almost immediately. While they tried their best to keep from "going down that road," ultimately their connection proved too strong and they fell in love.

The pair did not technically "have an affair". "But," said Kirstie, "again, I think what we did was worse," she explains. "Because I think when you fall in love with someone when you're married, you jeopardize your own marriage and their marriage. It's doubly bad."

Kirstie says she is still friends with Patrick's wife Lisa, but she's not sure if Niemi, who asked her to speak at Patrick's funeral, knows about their relationship.

Er, she does now, Kirstie ...

Katy Perry furious with Rihanna

Rihanna celebrated completing her new album, Unapologetic, by taking a dip in the pool this week, tweeting: "We havin a celebration.... WE HAVE AN ALBUM!!! #UNAPOLOGETIC." She added: "Man my album is complete, and I need a f**king drink and a roll up! It was quite the journey, but it's all part of our story!"

But all is not rosy for the singer. According to the New York Daily News, her relationship with Chris Brown has wrecked her friendship with Katy Perry, and the two are "barely talking."

A source close to Katy have revealed "there has been tension" between the pop stars since Rihanna reunited with Brown. According to the source, Katy, like many others, fear that Rihanna is " making a huge mistake and doesn’t want to be part of it.”

Jack Nicholson's too shagged to shag

In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Jack Nicholson has revealed what he wishes he knew when he was 18.

Among his musings: "I am an extreme person. If someone says: “Jack, you are a womaniser” I don’t deny it. But the life of a gigolo always ends badly.

"That is one of the reasons I feel uncomfortable about all that “sex legend” stuff.

"I no longer have the energy to both work and fool around. So the last few movies I’ve done, I have hardly left the hotel at nights. It was completely different when we were making The Shining."

"I was living in London, which is one of my favourite cities on Earth. The 17-week filming schedule at Pinewood Studios ended up as 47 weeks because the director, Stanley Kubrick, did so many takes for every single scene.

"I thought to myself: “OK, I’m going to show all of these people. I am working with the toughest director in the business — and I am going to burn London to the ground every night with partying.”
