Demi's daughters cut off contact again

The New York Daily News reports: "Following her well-publicised off-the-wall behaviour during Miamia's Art Basel, the small progress Demi Moore made patching things up with her daughters, Rumer, Scout and Talluluah, has come to a halt.

"Moore's daughters, whom she shares with Bruce Willis, cut off contact with their mom after her January hospitalisation for inhaling hitrous oxide through whip-its, in a tough love approach to see Moore get healthy again ...

"Around the time Bruce's wife Emma had the baby, it was this scary sense of `Demi went off her rocker again', says our source.

"The source adds that Demi's last boy toy, 26-year-old Vito Schnabel, runs in the same circles with Rumer Willis and she was absolutely mortified about the fling."

Why Lindsay sent Charlie flowers

Lindsay Lohan has finally thanked Charlie Sheen for giving her $100,000 (after they bonded on the set of Scary Movie 5) to help pay her bills. 

Charlie got shirty when he didn't even receive a text message of gratitude and blasted her in a TV interview.

Lindsay's excuse, according to TMZ: "LiLo didn't mean to be rude and the reason she never got around to thanking Charlie personally is because her phone broke and she lost all her contacts  -- including the actor's number." 
"But she made up for it ... we're told LiLo saw Charlie's comments and immediately fired off a "thank you" letter and a bouquet of flowers to his house ... as both an apology and show of gratitude.

"Usually the best way to thank Charlie is with hookers, but flowers are nice too."

PS  The Stir reports that Scores strip club in NYC is offering to help Lindsay Lohan pay her outstanding $16,000 storage bill if she does some work for them. "Instead of taking off her clothes a la Playboy, they want her to serve as an online video chat host for their website."

Joel's romantic second anniversary message to Nicole

Nicole Ritchie and Joel Madden have just celebrated their second wedding anniversary. Joel waxed lyrical about his wife on Tumblr. "We just spent a few days off the grid celebrating our second wedding anniversary. Sometimes I keep it to myself and sometimes I can't help myself and I gotta tell the whole world how much I love her. This is one of those times. I can't help it. I feel like the luckiest man alive to have my wife and kids. When the world outside breaks me down, they build me back up. Hope everyone out there finds this kind of love."

Damn, there goes that crush

Jon Stewart has slammed Hugh Grant for being a terrible guest on his talk show and vowed he would never be invited back. 

Surprisingly, Hugh has copped it on Twitter, saying: "Turns out my inner crab got the better of me with TV producer in 09. Unforgivable. J Stewart correct to give me kicking."

But I don't think it will change Lainey Gossip's verdict on Hugh: "Well, he is the guy who threw a Tupperware of baked beans at a photographer, right?

"And the guy who released this statement celebrating the birth of his daughter while telling the world her mother means nothing to him.

"Hugh Grant is a dick. He can be charming and hilarious, and is really convincing at that in movies, but he is a dick. A misanthropic dick. Matt Damon's pashing scenes with Michael Douglas

Matt Damon has revealed he filmed some pretty raunchy scenes in his new Liberace biopic, Behind the Candelabra. 

"Normally I'd say no to nudity, but I just did a lot of it playing the long-term partner of Liberace," he tells Playboy in its January/February issue. "I mean, it's tastefully done. … But this movie's not going to be for everyone." 

For example: "I had to come out of the pool, go over to Michael Douglas, straddle him on a chaise lounge and start kissing him," says Damon. "It's not like I kiss him just once. We drew it up like a football plan."

He jokes: "Michael was a wonderful kisser."

Ooooh, I missed a really juicy quote from Sean Penn in the new issue of Esquire:

Contents of Lindsay's storage room to be auctioned

TMZ reports: "Lindsay Lohan is on the verge of losing expensive designer clothes, family heirlooms and potentially embarrassing items ... because she hasn't paid her storage bill and as a result the unit is about to go up on the auction block.

"Sources close to Lindsay tell us ... LiLo has fallen behind on paying her monthly bill  ... and now owes roughly $16,000 to the storage company.

"The account is now delinquent and the locker can't be opened until the balance is paid in full ... and that's not going to happen because Lindsay doesn't have the cash.  As we reported, her financial situation is so desperate the IRS has frozen her bank accounts because of unpaid back taxes.

"So here's the upshot.  If Lindsay doesn't get a big check for XMAS, her storage unit will be auctioned off this month.  We're told she's reached out to family and friends to front her the money but so far no one is biting."

In other pouty LiLo news from Dlisted: "At Capital FM's Jingle Ball in London five nights ago, ITN asked Max George [from The Wanted] if he's licking LiLo's butt full-time and he laughed before saying, "No, what's the right word for her? A yeah, a groupie! She is probably hiding in our suitcase right now!" This gave LiLo the sads and she crawled out of their suitcase and immediately unfollowed Max on Twitter."

John and Livvy to make a movie together? 

During interviews for his new Christmas album, John Travolta has revealed he'd like to remake White Christmas with Olivia Newton John. “I have an idea for that. Instead of the video — Olivia’s schedule didn’t permit it, but we were going to do an old-fashioned TV special. And then we thought, maybe a remake of White Christmas or something would be even more fun. So you know, we’ll see what happens. We’ll see what happens. But this is a great foundation for that.”

He also boasted that he’s heard the clip for the first single from their album,  “I Think You Might Like It.” called “the video you have to see and can’t stop watching.” He's obviously not in on the joke. 

Liam's street brawl

Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth (aka Miley Cyrus's fiance) has been involved in another violent brawl (he and his brother got into a punch-up in Hollywood a few years back). TMZ is reporting that early on Sunday morning in Philadephia, Liam left a bar and confronted a guy he thought had thrown a rock at him and his friend. 

In the video, the guy is on the ground clinging to Liam's leg ... until Liam plows a fist into his face, and pushes his head down toward the asphalt. 

Police haven't laid any charges.

Taylor's sweet young love

Taylor Swift is celebrating her 23rd birthday in England with her new love, Harry Styles from One Direction. 

And he gave her a very sweet gift: "Harry Styles bought 23 custom cupcakes for Taylor Swift from Custom Cupcake Company in Chapelford, Warrington this morning," a rep for the store tells Us Weekly exclusively. "The cakes were a selection of 12 flavors, including ones filled with candy floss and a mint liqueur center. It was kept very secret to make sure there wasn't a mob waiting to greet him when he pulled up."

The pair have been happily posing with fans while Harry shows her the sights.

Lindsay faces 245 days in jail

Lindsay Lohan's probation has been revoked by Los Angeles Commissioner Jane Godfrey, TMZ reports. The star - who did not appear in court - was accused of lying to police officers and driving recklessly when she crashed her Porsche on California's Pacific Coast Highway in June 2012.

The Commissioner scheduled a hearing for January 15, 2013. If the judge decides LiLo did indeed violate her probation, she faces up to 245 days behind bars.


Morrissey blames Royals for nurse suicide

Singer Morrissey has had a spray on a New Zealand radio show, accusing the Royals of being responsible for the death of nurse Jacintha Saldanha.

"It wasn't because of two DJs in Australia that this woman took her own life - it was the pressure around her," he told New Zealand's 3News. 

He suggested Kate Middleton was in hospital "for absolutely no reason" and said "she feels no shame about the death of this woman. She's saying nothing about the death of this poor woman. The arrogance of the British royals is absolutely staggering."

"Does she have a health condition? Is it anorexia or is it pregnancy? I mean, morning sickness already? So much hoo haw and then suddenly as bright as a button as soon as this poor woman dies she's out of hospital? It doesn't ring true."


"The fact [the DJs] got so far probably astonished them beyond belief. But the pressure put on the woman who connected the callers was probably so enormous that she took her own life," Morrissey reasoned. "And we forget about that and of course the royals are exonerated as always."

Anne Hathaway's flashing shame 

Anne Hathaway accidentally flashed her private parts to photographers (and subsequently the world) at the New York premiere of Les Miserables on Monday night, when she climbed out of a limo, clad in a black taffeta, cape-back Tom Ford dress with a thigh-high slit and bondage style boots.

According to the Daily News the actress told Vanity Fair writer Ingrid Sischy: "I was getting out of the car and my dress was so tight that I didn't realize it until I saw all the photographers' flashes. It was devastating. They saw everything. I might as well have lifted up my skirt for them."

She went on to tell Today: "It was obviously an unfortunate incident. It kind of made me sad on two accounts. One was that I was very sad that we live in an age when someone takes a picture of another person in a vulnerable moment and rather than delete it, and do the decent thing, sells it. And I’m sorry that we live in a culture that commodifies sexuality of unwilling participants, which brings us back to 'Les Mis,' that's what my character is, she is someone who is forced to sell sex to benefit her child because she has nothing and there's no social safety net. So lets get back to Les Mis."

Hugh Jackman breaks down on 60 Minutes

In an emotional new interview with 60 Minutes - airing this Sunday in the United States - Hugh Jackman cries as he recalls the day his mother, Grace, abandoned his family and moved across the world from Australia to England.

"I can remember the morning she left, it's weird the things you pick up. I remember her being in a towel around her head and saying goodbye, must have been the way she said goodbye. As I went off to school, when I came back, there was no one there in the house. The next day there was a telegram from England, Mum was there. And then that was it. I don't think she thought for a second it would be forever. I think she thought it was, 'I just need to get away, and I'll come back.' Dad used to pray every night that Mum would come back."

Meanwhile, Hugh has waxed lyrical at the premiere of Les Miserables about wife Deborra Lee Furness: "Trust me, I'm really a boring guy - when I was on my own, I was sitting there - with jigsaw puzzles, watching my voice, drinking lemon tea ... Charlie Sheen's ex in rehab AGAIN

The mother of Charlie Sheen's twin sons has entered rehab for the 19th time. 

TMZ reports: "Brooke Mueller is back in familiar territory -- rehab -- because she now confesses she has a big problem with a powerful drug.

"Sources close to Brooke tell TMZ ... Charlie Sheen's ex-wife #3 says she has addiction issues with Adderall -- a psycho-stimulant commonly used for ADD.

"TMZ broke the story ... an unresponsive Brooke was rushed to the hospital last week after OD'ing on drugs.  Brooke is privately acknowledging she took way too many Adderall pills and it put her in the danger zone."

In further developments: "Sources close to Charlie and his exes tell TMZ ... Brooke asked Denise to care for Bob and Max while she tries rehab for the 19th time, and Denise happily obliged.

"As for why Charlie isn't caring for the 3-year-olds ... we're told he doesn't have the time because he's shooting "Anger Management." 

"Our sources tell us ... Denise will care for Bob and Max for "an indefinite period of time."

Kelsey's ex: My kids can't say my name in his house

Kelsey Grammer's divorce was so bitter, his ex-wife Camille has revealed to Anderson Live the weird rule he enforces with his kids in his home. 

"They're not allowed to same my name in the house. These poor kids, my daughter and my son, can't say my name in their father's house." 

"I think they can say 'Mom' or 'The other household'. But they can't say my name. They can't say 'Camille.'  

She reveals she consulted her lawyers to see if she could do anything about it. "I said, 'What's my recourse in this? What do I do as a parent?' " she says. "It must be stressful for them to not be able to say their mother's name. But there is no recourse because we already settled our custody."

Les Miserables make-up secrets

Makeup artist Lisa Westcott has describes how she transformed the stars of Les Miserables. 

Hugh Jackman - who plays Jean Valjean - wore a mouth mold to give the appearance of decaying teeth, a beard extension and his head was altered to give the appearance of his hair being hacked off by jailors.

Anne Hathaway - who plays disease-riddled prostitute Fantine - had make-up that was 'crude and lumpy' as if it had been caked on for years.

And she insisted her real hair be cut off in the movie scene. Director Tom Hooper reveals: 'We tried to talk her out of it but she insisted' because there would have been a way with some clever camera trickery to imitate her actually losing her hair.
