I wish I could be as staunchly Kardashian-free-zone as Lainey Gossip when it comes to the news that Kim Kardashian is up the duff to Kayne West, but I'm just not strong enough.
Lainey blogged overnight: "As for 2013 - there may be pretenders, but there is only one Baby Wales. And, really, it’s the only Child Watch that matters. Kanye West’s girlfriend was never covered here before her pregnancy. And Kanye West’s girlfriend will not be covered her during her pregnancy, unless it’s by casual mention in an article about the Blue Ivy Carter, like an extra on a movie set.
Kayne dropped his baby bombshell during a concert in Atlantic City on Sunday night.
Kim later confirmed the news in a blog post on her website, titled,"New Year, New Beginnings."
"It's true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us.
"Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo."
Twitter lit up with congratulatory messages from family members.
"Oh BABY BABY BABY!!" said Kris Jenner.
Sister Kourtney tweeted: "Been wanting to shout from the rooftops with joy and now I can! Another angel to welcome to our family. Overwhelmed with excitement!
Khloe Kardashian christened the foetus "Kimye!"
The only fly in the ointment is that Kim is still legally married to Kris Humphries. But a source close to Kayne has told US magazine the rapper intends to pop the question once her divorce is settled. A source reveals: "He's told friends and family he was gonna [marry] her since the day they met."
Broke Lindsay lives it up in London
Lindsay Lohan reportedly told friends she wants to start next year off on a better note by avoiding the party scene on NYE in favour of a more low-key celebration with close friends.
She even suggested she might stay home and completely abstain from alcohol. But no, she's jetted off to London instead.
The Daily Mail reports: "She's meant to have serious money worries. But Lindsay Lohan seemed not to have a care in the world as she enjoyed the life of a millionaire in London.
The actress spent her second day in the British city shopping at the legendary department store Harrods, dining out with friends at exclusive restaurant Ciprianis, before heading back to her bed at the upmarket Dorchester hotel."
